Stay Spicy!
As many of you know, I love cooking, baking, and food. In particular I am very fond of great spices, spice blends, teas, international delicacies, and unique food items. One of my all-time favorite shops which I have discovered during my travels is Summit Spice & Tea Company in Anchorage, Alaska.

We've been hand-blending our spice and tea recipes since 1998, and offer an extensive selection of specialty groceries, fine chocolates, and unique gifts. We also feature a tea room where you can relax and enjoy a refreshing cup of tea with a selection of pastries.”
Obviously if any of you find yourselves visiting Anchorage, Alaska, then definitely stop by their shop. Luckily for most of us who are rarely in Alaska, there is the joy of online shopping!
What I Love
Overall Summit Spice & Tea has an amazing selection of high quality spices and teas, along with great combinations of both. On top of that they also have an amazing selection of gourmet chocolates, international food items, hot cocoas, and wonderful Alaskan food products.
Here are a few of my favorite things from their shop, which I frequently order in large quantities.
Spices: They have an amazing amount of great spices. These are some of my top favorites.
- Burger Blend Mix- I cannot tell you how much I adore this spice blend. I order a lot of this and it is so popular that it is often sold out. Their blend of spices pairs well with hamburger and any ground meats. It is truly a tasty blend. In fact my mouth is watering right now thinking about it!
- Wicked Pasta Mix- This delightful mix of savory and spicy turns any pasta dish you make into a culinary masterpiece. It is sinfully tasty and will make you feel wicked in a good way!
- Kenai Fish Rub- It is no surprise that they have an amazing fish rub which goes great on any fish, especially salmon! Highly recommend it if you enjoy cooking and eating fish.
- Smokehouse Steak Rub- I am in love with this stuff! A burly blend of herbs & spices with a smoky, peppery flavor. Sprinkle on steaks, chops or ribs before searing or grilling.
Hot Cocoa Mixes: I adore their hot cocoa mixes and find they truly help my winters pass in lovely coziness. You can also buy entire bags of mini marshmallows to make your cocoa experience as decadent as possible. They have several great flavors but my favorite is the candy cane hot cocoa. Soooooo goooooood!
Amazing Teas! I cannot emphasize enough how great their teas and tea blends are! I have tried at least two dozen of their teas and have loved it all. If you are a tea connoisseur, then you have just hit the motherlode of greatness.
Made in Alaska Products: There are many great made in Alaska local products including pancake mixes, kelp seaweed products, famous Alaskan sourdough starters, chocolates, and honey. Try them all!
Gift Boxes: They also have some nicely curated gift boxes at reasonable prices which are a true self-care package to receive. I always enjoy it when one arrives!
